    Open Joint Stock Company “Kazan Motor Production Association” was established in 1931 and now is one of the largest engineering enterprises of Russia. Present-day scientific and technical potential of KMPO is based on high-tech production of aviation engines. Motors produced by KMPO became a visiting card of the Russian engine building industry.
    Today KMPO successfully merges into Russian industry enjoying the necessary equipment and technologies for production of high-quality, efficient and environmentally sound products.
    The KMPO’s activity at present is focused on the serial production of gas turbine engines and engine-based equipment for natural gas pumping, distribution and processing. Over 30% of gas-transport flows in Russia function on the engines made by KMPO. This implies more than 700 gas pumping units throughout the country and near-abroad states. KMPO’s gas turbine engines of new generation meet the present-day requirements for ecology, fuel efficiency and field reliability.
    Today the Company can provide the integrated technical solutions in the sphere of gas industry and power engineering: automated gas distribution stations as well as power plants on natural gas for heat and electrical power generation. KMPO maintains the potential and technologies for serial production of aviation engines and is ready to cooperate with Russian and foreign partners in production of new-generation aviation engines.
    In 2006 the company performed the large-scale modernization and technical re-equipment of production. Procurement of high-grade equipment from European manufacturers enabled to optimize the technological cycles, sufficiently increase quality and extend production possibilities.
